Despite a 6% drop in price, Ethereum Whales purchased 1.1 million ETH in the last 48 hours. This occurs during a period of declining market value for ETH price.

Ethereum (ETH) price has experienced strong selling pressure for the past few weeks. Amid this bearish trend, the ETH dropped to a strong demand zone of $2,100.

That comes after President Donald Trump issued the U.S. Strategic Reserve executive order. Institutional investors are increasing their purchases. It suggests that future stock market swings are uncertain.

Whales Purchasing Ethereum: Can It Lead to Reversal?

Whale investors have made large accumulations in Ethereum due to its recent price decline. These investors added 1.1 million ETH in two days, according to cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez, indicating high demand.

Since comparable patterns have previously preceded market reversals, the timing of this accumulation has attracted attention. Ethereum may settle close to its current levels if buying pressure persists.

Ethereum whales bought an extra 110,000 ETH in the last week, increasing their holdings even more. By lowering the amount of supply available, large purchases from institutional players frequently affect price action.

This pattern implies that big investors are putting themselves in a strategic position, which strengthens Ethereum’s position as a valuable asset in the cryptocurrency market.

Trump’s Institutional Interest and DeFi Initiative

World Liberty Financial, Donald Trump’s DeFi project, recently purchased $10 million worth of Ethereum. At an average cost of $2,238 per ETH, 4,468 ETH were included in the transaction.

The growing institutional interest in Ethereum, especially in financial projects, was encouraged by this acquisition.

Institutional accumulation has recently increased, which is consistent with general market patterns. The fact that Ethereum whales have continued to accumulate over the past week indicates that there is still a strong demand for the asset.

Historical evidence indicates that investors typically increase their positions before a significant market shift, which affects price trends and liquidity.

ETH Price at Major Support: Is It Ready to Rebound?

When writing, ETH price was trading at $2,139.31. It has remained neutral over the past 24 hours. The market capitalization was $258 Billion, and the 24-hour trading volume was around $18.97 Billion.

If the price loses this support zone, buyers might lose confidence. Once the price sustains below the $2,100 level, strong selling pressure can be experienced. Here, most traders and investors might prefer to book profit.

Conversely, if the ETH price gains bullish momentum in the demand zone of $2,100, buyers might show interest. Any bullish signal in the demand zone could trigger a bullish rally. Once the price departs from this zone, a decent bullish rally can be possible.

Based on technical indicators, a bullish reversal can be seen. The RSI has displayed a bullish divergence which could attract bulls. This bullish divergence might attract buyers and can groom a bullish rally.
